I am looking to go to an Auto Police Auction, and maybe buy a car cheap for say $500, say it’s an okay quality car, and i buy it for the $500 and sell it for say $1.200 on Craigslist, would this be a sufficient wa to make money?
Does anything change with the title when the car is seized? could i still get a profit if it had a reconstructed title, if I DID buy the car for $500?
Anything else I should know?

I’m looking to start a company where I go to police, public, bank repot auctions and buy cars a dirt cheap prices, invest some money into them (clean them up, fix anything that needs to be fixed, smog check, etc…) and sell them threw auto trader, Craig’s list etc. for market value. What kind of license would I need, I already have a vehicle sales licenses. What else would I need? And what would I need to get into the privet bank police auctions? Im only looking to do 1 car at a time, so I wouldn’t need to buy any property for it. And for the service of the car I would go to a local mechanic…
Would you still have it if you weren’t actually using it as a work truck? I got one from an auction it is a crew cab, gas type, and it is an LT. They were giving it for 12,000 and that is a cheap price for that truck so I got it because who knows if a nicer truck will be auction off again. So would you still keep it if you were not using it as much for work?
I would be interested in doing this on the side to make extra money (if its worth it and business wise). Does anyone do this? From what i have heard repossesed (late model) vehicles are auctioned off really cheap, so it seems like one could really profit from this if they purchase such vehicles then sell them for what they’re really worth. Would I need a certain type of license–I wouldn’t want to do anything shady.
