Question by ladygiv6224: Ever purchased a car from a Gov’t or Repo Auction?
Hi there, if you ever purchased a car from an auction or know someone who did, can you tell me what was the best car you got from an auction and for what price? Please be sure to include the year, make, model! Thanks so much!
I’m looking to get a newer car but $ 7,000 is my max. I was wondering if I could get a good deal at an auction with $ 7,000.
That’s and interesting sentiment Bg. That’s definitely something I’ll have to consider. I’m really looking for like a 2003 and up Toyota Camry but preferably a 2004+ Camry Solara.

I worked at an auto auction for many years, and you can get some pretty good deals some times, the problem is the cars are “as is”….7,000 bucks is a lot of money to pay for a car you know nothing about and can not return….

I purchased a car from a private owner who advertised it with no title. The private party purchased it from a government auction a few years ago and was driving it on private property for the most part. I am trying to get a title issued on their. I was told by state of Illinois that one can be issued if car passes inspection. Carfax shows title never issued. I guess car was initially made for a crash test but it was never tested, only the interior. Car runs fine, I just need title.
