how cheap do cars sell for at car auctions and is there any websites that show car auctions and wanting just plain cars and trucks not classics just everyday cars thanks

Answer by fuzzylogic_y2k At lot auctions, like repo’s and tow yards, you generally see cars go for the kelly blue book trade in value. However there are cars that even the used car lots don’t want. Mileage and condition play a big part. Those you can get dirt cheap. I picked up an 89 bmw 325is for $ 1200 and it ran fine, just missing a radio. (This was 5 years ago)

Answer by mccoyblues There is no website. When the police department have an auction they will advertise it in the newspaper.
Most police auctions sell complete crap. Those cars aren’t even worth bidding on. The real good stuff they keep. The decent stuff gets sold through other avenues. Only the left over crap gets sold at the public auctions.
